Visit visas for the residents of the GCC countries (Gulf countries) and their companions are issued at border points.
All others require visa; tourist visa will be issued for 2 weeks, you need a valid passport and a confirmed booking in one of the recognized hotels in Qatar. Visa fee is 55 QAR + 20 QAR for each companion and it can be extended for another 2 weeks.
