The climate is Mediterranean, which becomes more extreme towards the interior regions where it is mountainous.
When to go
The north of the country is weather frendly all year round, the south is foggy in summer months .
The rest of the country is best to visit October to April, but be aware of temperature differences between day (30°C) and night (15°C). The mountains are good for skiing December to March and for hiking the rest of the year.
