Drug related violence might occur in cities like Acapulco, Monterrey and Tijuana and in the state of Michoacan. Although violence is not normally targeted at foreign residents or tourists, visitors should be vigilant in their personal safety and to use common sense to avoid potentially dangerous situations.
Floods
Severe floods can affect large regions of the country, especially in hurricane season (June to November). Travellers should be updated with weather news and local warnings, because communication infrastructure and transport might be damaged. |
